Reporting to the Executive Assistant Manager, you will be part of the hotel leadership team and will be responsible for managing maintenance and compliance functions with a hands-on approach. We are looking for someone with a focus on the guest experience and with good organisational and communication skills and previous experience in a hotel environment will be highly valued. We are offering a salary in the range of $85,000 to $90,000 depending on your skills and experience.
Keys duties include:
- Prioritise and carry out maintenance as requested to ensure the smooth running of the hotel operation, including general repairs & maintenance to the property
- Plan and carry out preventive maintenance throughout the hotel to ensure standards are maintained to enhance our guest experience
- Ensure compliance standards are met in aspects of building, equipment, energy consumption, water, contractors, environmental and other brand programs.
- Support and liaise with any contractors within the hotel ensuring their work is to the standard required by the company and manufacturer specifications, and oversee contractor induction and compliance with legal and hotel requirements
- Oversee the hotel safety &security systems, including fire prevention measures
- Be actively involved in the health & safety of our guests and our team members
- Develop and implement effective strategies and solutions to improve energy management, water management, waste management and conservation
- Manage capital expenditure projects
