Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Chef to join our culinary team (Job Type: Full-Time,Permanent). The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Japanese cuisine andtechniques, particularly in Yakiniku, sushi, and traditional dishes. This role requires a high levelof precision and attention to detail to maintain the standards our patrons expect and deserve.
Responsibilities:
Preparation and execution of our menu including but not limited to BBQ meats, Sushi,Sashimi, and traditional Japanese dishes.
Creative input on menu design, including the development of new dishes and the seasonaladjustment of existing menus.
Manage kitchen staff, ensuring proper training, performance, and adherence to restaurantstandards.
Maintain inventory levels and order supplies while managing food and labor costs.
Uphold health and safety standards, ensuring a clean and sanitary working environment.
Key Requirements:
Proven experience as a Chef with specific skills in Japanese cuisine, including at least 3years at a reputable restaurant.
Proficiency in various cooking techniques and equipment used in Japanese cuisine.
Strong understanding of quality, freshness, and presentation of Japanese food.
Leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.

2-3 years of relevant work experience required for this role
Expected start date for role: 15 September 2024
Salary: $71,000 - $75,000 per year
