Adelaide Truck And Van is now looking to hire a motivated individual to join their successful team as a Truck Driver in Allenby Gardesn, South Australia.
The Role
This is a full-time role with an annual salary set at $75,000 plus superannuation.
The Responsibilities
Some tasks may include.
Delivers freight to agencies in a timely manner as per routing schedule
Operates vehicle in compliance with company rules, applicable laws and regulations and in accordance with accepted principles of safe driving
Reports unusual traffic conditions and other hazards noted enroute
Reports promptly any unusual delays or difficulties regarding delivery sites
Loads product on truck for delivery when necessary
Checks condition of load for safe transportation, and rearranges as necessary
Checks shipping papers to determine nature of load and any special conditions
Maintains records required for compliance with state and federal regulations
Keeps record of time, mileage, pallets shipped and received, any mechanical problems and general remarks
Inspects vehicle and required parts and accessories to determine safe operating condition prior to departure from farm
Uses and cares properly for all equipment assigned to the driver for the performance of duties
The Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience (or equivalent) gained in a commercial driving capacity
Preferable to have crane truck operations experience
Must consistently meet federal and state driving requirements, safety rules and regulations
Driver’s license must be up to date and driving records clean
Must have forklift license
Preferable to have Dangerous Good License and White Card
Ability to communicate in a clear and understandable manner
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Able to pass a drug and alcohol test
Verifiable work references
