Full time chef required for the AGAINST THE GRIND at 42 Oleander Dr, Mill Mark - VIC - 3082
AGAINST THE GRIND is currently seeking a qualified full time chef to join our team in Mill Park. We are looking for someone who is creative, organised, passionate and experienced in commercial cooking.
The job description for chef is as follows, and it is not an exhaustive list:
*Planning and designing menu, and assisting the management for the food and labour cost.
*Food preparation, cooking and presentation
*Leading, training and motivating new staff
*Demonstrating skills and chef’s knowledge
*Knowledge of budgeting, costing and inventory management
*Follow Australian food safety rules and regulations during kitchen operations
* Other duties and responsibilities as required by organisation.
*Work well in team environment, passionate, punctual, enthusiastic
.Requirements:
· Experience and qualifications in commercial cookery (Cert IV or higher)
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in the commercial kitchen
· Flexible availability
· Good communication skills
· Ability to work unsupervised and in a team
· Understanding of OH&S and food hygiene requirements
