Are you passionate about supporting young people through their journey with eating disorders? EACH is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Clinician to join our Youth Enhanced Services (YES) team and play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based treatment.
As a Mental Health Clinician specializing in eating disorders, you will:
- Provide integrated care that aligns with medical, nutritional, and therapeutic needs. Coordinate access to a range of services and manage transitions to community-based treatment programs
- Utilize evidence-based practices to deliver therapeutic interventions across individual, group, and family settings. Implement specialized treatment plans tailored to each young person’s needs
- Conduct thorough assessments, create effective treatment plans, and oversee transitions in care, ensuring a holistic approach to each client’s journey
- Work closely with other care agencies, interagency networks, and educators to build a robust support system. Offer consultation to care-team partners as needed
- Engage with the community and health agencies to promote and enhance service delivery
- Actively participate in team meetings, case conferences, and clinical reviews. Share best practices and engage in continuous quality improvement to enhance outcomes for young people

EACH is the Lead Agency of the Therapeutic Alliance (TA), a consortium of community based, not-for-profit organizations who provide mental health services across the North Coast of NSW through a multidisciplinary, person centred, hub-and-spoke model of care.
The alliance offers a range of services under the Primary Mental Health Program (PMHP), including Healthy Minds, the Mental Health Nursing Incentive Program, Youth Enhanced Services (YES), Suicide Prevention, Counselling Support, and Low Intensity Mental Health programs.

About you
To excel in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Nursing, or a related discipline
- At least two years of experience in managing and treating eating disorders, with a proven track record in developing and implementing effective treatment plans
- Proficiency in applying mental health therapeutic approaches (e.g., DBT, ACT) and a deep understanding of trauma’s impact on adolescent and young adult mental health
- Expertise in mental state examination, crisis and risk assessment, and aftercare planning
- Familiarity with mental health legislation and best practices
- Minimum of four years’ experience working with young people and families, particularly in managing moderate to high acuity mental health issues
- A postgraduate qualification in counselling or a related field (highly regarded)
