We are looking for an Experienced Head Vet Nurse who has strong communication and team building skills and previous experience leading and motivating a high functioning nursing team!
Greencross Burleigh Waters is a large and well-equipped purpose-built clinic a stone’s throw from the Treetops Plaza, as well as plenty of café options for lunch! As well as a short 5 minute drive to the beautiful beaches.
Our Nurse team consists of experienced and fully qualified nurses, and our outstandingly supportive Vet Director, Dr Josie has and a keen interest in Surgery & Ophthalmology!
The Role:
- Full-time position
- Managing a team of Vet Nurses and supporting busy Vets
- Guiding and developing the Nurse team, building a positive team culture and providing mentorship
- Undertaking general nursing tasks, including pre and post-operative care, animal pathology and emergency and critical care
- Performing minor procedures when required
- Handling client enquiries professionally in person, by email and over the phone
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Holds a Cert IV qualification in Veterinary Nursing
- Has a minimum of 3+ years of experience
- Possesses strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
- Is ready to take their leadership skills to the next level
- Has a passion for training and developing junior staff
- Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Is dedicated to providing outstanding patient care
