Job Description
Position Overview:
The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the installation of wind turbines, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency are maintained. This role involves close coordination with various teams, conducting inspections, and fostering a strong safety culture on-site through proactive engagement and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
• Inspection:
o Conduct thorough inspections of wind turbine components and installation sites to ensure compliance with Vestas' standards and specifications.
o Perform pre- and post-installation inspections to identify and address any issues or discrepancies.
o Maintain detailed inspection records and reports, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
• Safety Culture Work:
o Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on-site, ensuring all team members adhere to safety protocols and guidelines.
o Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to safety in all aspects of work.
o Develop and implement safety plans and procedures specific to each installation project.
• Walk and Talk:
o Engage with installation teams regularly through 'walk and talk' sessions to address any concerns, provide guidance, and ensure alignment with project goals.
o Foster open communication and collaboration among team members, encouraging feedback and continuous improvement.
o Monitor progress and provide on-the-spot support and troubleshooting to maintain workflow efficiency.
Qualifications:
• Suitable certification or relevant experience.
• Proven experience in wind turbine installation or a similar role within the renewable energy sector.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the construction and energy industries.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in diverse environments and adapt to changing project requirements.
