Mechanical Engineer - truck body manufacturer
Kogan People Solutions are working with this well-established family manufacturing business as they work to secure a full time Mechanical Engineer for their busy site in Dandenong South, Victoria.

About the role:
Endlessly updating and enlarging their mechanical plant and equipment, our client requires a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to work with the management team as they execute their plans. As a critical member of the team, you will be responsible for applying your extensive expertise to solving complex mechanical engineering issues. You will work closely with the Management team, allocating resources and ensuring successful delivery of projects.
About you:
You should be able to demonstrate the following attributes and strengths to be considered:
Demonstrated and verifiable mechanical engineering experience in one or more highly relevant industry settings.
Participation in the development and careful review of engineering design drawings and/or specifications developed within the team.
Developed skills in engineering design drawings & simulations.
Solid experience performing structural and finite element analysis and work measurement programs.
Well-developed coordinating experience of workforce utilisation, facility layout, operational data and production schedules for optimum use of company resources.
Highly focused on the measurement, management and reporting of projects costs.
Planning, designing, organising and implementing modifications and installations.
Participation in regular inspections, ensuring all designs and manufacturing processes comply with Australian safety and environmental regulations, as well as industry standards for truck bodies.
Strong IT skills (Including AutoCAD).
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a highly relevant discipline.
At least three years post degree Mechanical Engineering experience, preferably more.
Solid references.
Excellent communication skills, patience and empathy.
You must have unrestricted rights to work full time in Australia.
