We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Supply and Distribution Manager to join our team and drive the success of our supply chain operations.
Job Summary: The Supply and Distribution Manager will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing our supply chain operations to ensure the efficient distribution of furniture products. This role involves managing inventory levels, coordinating logistics, and implementing strategies to optimize supply chain performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, a comprehensive understanding of supply chain processes, and a proven track record of improving distribution efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supply Chain Optimization:
o Develop and implement strategies to streamline supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, and distribution.
o Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
• Logistics Management:
o Oversee the transportation and distribution of furniture products to ensure timely and accurate delivery to customers.
o Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and distribution centers to manage the flow of goods and resolve any logistical issues.
• Inventory Control:
o Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing carrying costs and stockouts.
o Implement inventory control procedures and conduct regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy and efficiency.
• Team Leadership:
o Lead and motivate a team of supply chain professionals, including warehouse staff and logistics coordinators.
o Provide training and support to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
• Supplier and Vendor Relations:
o Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to negotiate favorable terms and ensure a reliable supply of products.
o Evaluate supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or cost.
• Compliance and Safety:
o Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards related to supply chain operations and transportation.
o Implement and enforce safety procedures to protect employees and minimize risks.
• Reporting and Analysis:
o Prepare and present regular reports on supply chain performance, including key metrics, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
o Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
• Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., APICS, CSCP) is advantageous.
• Experience:
o Proven experience in supply chain management, logistics, or distribution, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role in a similar environment.
o Demonstrated success in optimizing supply chain processes and managing inventory.
• Skills:
o Strong leadership and team management skills.
o Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
o Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
o Effective communication and negotiation skills.
o Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
