We are in search of a talented and seasoned cook to join our team at our country Motel and Tavern in Springsure. As a vital member of our kitchen staff, you will contribute to maintaining the highest standards of taste, presentation and service excellence in our bustling kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect food items upon arrival to verify quality and freshness, promptly reporting any discrepancies to the Head Chef or General Manager.
- Monitoring and adjusting temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking appliances.
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, ensuring they meet our standards for taste, presentation and portion size.
-Season food during cooking to enhance flavor profiles and elevate the dining experience.
- Plating food, portioning it accordingly, and enhancing presentation with gravies, sauces and garnishes.
-Ensure food is stored in facilities with controlled temperatures, following food safety protocols and reducing wastage.
-Create dishes tailored to specific dietary needs, such as allergies, intolerances, and individual preferences.
-Assist in planning menus and estimating food requirements based on anticipated guest demand and seasonal availability.
Assist in training other kitchen staff and apprentices, sharing culinary knowledge and best practices to maintain high standards across the team.

Requirements:
-Minimum of 3 years experience as a Cook in a similar role, preferable in a high volume commercial kitchen setting.
- possess current Food Safety Certificates and other relevant certifications.
-Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
-String organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
-Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, Management and other team members.
