Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineering Machinist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will work under the direction of a Mechanical Engineer, focusing on the design, machining, and assembly of mechanical engineering parts. This role involves a blend of manual and CNC machining, drawing and programming, and mechanical assembly tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create detailed drawings and programs for the manufacturing of mechanical engineering parts.
• Collaborate with the Mechanical Engineer in designing new parts and re-engineering existing ones.
• Machine parts using Conventional and CNC Lathes.
• Disassemble mechanical assemblies, accurately measure components, and machine new parts as needed.
• Assemble new and modified mechanical assemblies using machine tools and controls.
• Estimate material sizes, quantities, and machine requirements for manufacturing tasks.
• Measure and interpret complex parts, create detailed drawings, and perform advanced computations.
• Perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs on machines and equipment.
• Ensure that all designs and finished work meet specified requirements.
Qualifications:
• Relevant certification or a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in CNC Machining, Lathe, and Milling operations.
• Ability to program jobs using MasterCam.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Salary:
• $73,000 to $83,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
