Our client is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join their team.
Key responsibilities:
• Conduction geotechnical site investigation to assess soil and rock properties.
• Analysing slope stability and recommending mitigation measures as necessary.
• Designing geotechnical laboratory tests on soil and rock samples.
• Evaluation of the impact of geological conditions on project timelines and budgets.
• Conducting risk assessments related to ground conditions and proposing mitigation strategies.
• Providing technical guidance to junior students and engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams on research projects.
• Participating in on-site inspections.
• Preparing quote documents for geotechnical opportunities.
• Contacting the clients effectively and collaborating with other internal teams.
• Managing geotechnical projects in Victoria.
• Supervising one junior geotechnical engineer in Vic.
Knowledge and Experience:
• Relevant tertiary qualification
• Significant team leadership experience
• Financial acumen
• Demonstrated client contact and liaison skills
• Proven managerial expertise in relevant field
• Bachelor of Engineering
Skills:
• Able to convey ideas and solutions effectively to clients
• Good communication skills at all levels
• Good negotiation skills
