Who we are The purpose of the Net Zero Industries Division (NZID) is to drive emissions reduction, enable the transition of industries and support the development of new technologies to help position the Australian economy to achieve net zero by . Providing advice to the Minister for Climate Change and Assistant Minister for Climate Change and Energy, the division works on the Safeguard Mechanism, Carbon Leakage Review, Hydrogen strategy, decarbonisation initiatives and the establishment of an offshore wind industry in Australia. The Decarbonisation Initiatives Branch provides both policy oversight and delivery for programs that deliver on the Governments agenda to progress:
