Position Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
Ensuring that all equipment and processes are running smoothly. This can include machinery, lighting, heating and cooling systems, elevators, and escalator systems.
Identify potential problems and address them before a failure occurs. For example, if a machine has been running for hours or days without interruption, it could start having issues because it’s overheating. A maintenance engineer might notice this while performing routine maintenance on the system, and take action to prevent further damage from occurring (e.g., shutting off the power until repairs can be made)
Ensuring that all machinery is operating safely and within regulations. This can include running safety audits, ensuring safety data sheets are accessible, following the rules and regulations of OSHA, and more.
Responsible for maintaining records for machinery, including daily, weekly, and monthly logs. For example, you will most likely be responsible for tracking maintenance and repairs completed.
Installation and training of any new machinery, including recommendations for machine purchases. From time to time, machinery requires upgrading; the role will include assisting in setting up the new machinery.
Experience in woodwork CNC an advantage – PCM primarily has Beisse machinery, and previous experience in operating or repair will be an advantage.
Experience and knowledge of electrical diagrams an advantage.
Maintain a reasonable level of spare parts to minimise downtime—in connection with the Managing Director and accounts team, have spare parts available and maintain constant stock levels of spare parts.

About You
To be successful in obtaining this role, you will have:
A bachelor’s degree or Diploma in a relevant field and at least 2 years of relevant work experience
A positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and dedication to the job
Exceptional communication skills
Strong customer focus
Ability to work under pressure and make deadlines
Planning, problem solving and coordination skills
Ability to work unsupervised at times

Salary
If successful, you will be paid a salary between $75,000 - $85,000 per annum.
