Smart Krow Technology Solutions Pty Ltd is looking for a Permanent Full-time Cyber Security Specialist with relevant skills and qualifications. Must have an advanced understanding of TCP/IP, common networking ports and protocols, traffic flow, system administration, OSI model, defence-in-dep and common security elements.Must have Hands-on experience analyzing high volumes of logs, network data (e.g. Netflow, FPC), and other attack artifacts in support of incident investigations
Job Location – Melbourne, Victoria
Salary - $70,000 to $150,000/year plus Superannuation
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify, analyze, and mitigate potential cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities.
• Design, implement, and manage security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and encryption protocols.
• Respond to and investigate security incidents and breaches, providing detailed analysis and reports.
• Ensure adherence to cybersecurity policies, standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA).
• Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans, and recommend remediation strategies.
• Continuously monitor network traffic, system activity, and security alerts to detect and respond to suspicious activity.
• Maintain and update security documentation, including incident logs, security policies, and procedures.
• Educate and train staff on cybersecurity best practices, policies, and procedures.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a Cyber Security Specialis
• Tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering (or related discipline)
