Amrin and Bros Indian Restaurant and Bar in Geelong offers a vibrant dining experience, showcasing the rich and diverse flavors of Indian cuisine. Position: Chef
Salary Range: $73,000 - $79,000 plus superannuation
Location: 258 Pakington St, Geelong West VIC 3218
Job Type: Permanent position, Full time. Must be available to work on weekends and public holidays.
Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Expertise in Indian cooking methods.
2. Carefully preparing each dish with precision.
3. Creating and experimenting with new recipes and menu offerings.
4. Tailoring dishes to meet customer preferences and ensuring they align with their tastes.
5. Adhering to established cooking procedures and recipes for signature dishes to maintain high food quality.
6. Preparing and organizing ingredients and materials for cooking.
7. Overseeing kitchen staff to ensure seamless operations.
8. Providing training to kitchen staff as necessary.
9. Effectively scheduling and managing kitchen personnel.
10. Handling kitchen orders using the docket system.
11. Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are upheld in the kitchen and work areas.
To be considered for this role, your key skills, attributes must include:
1. Relevant qualifications with at least 2 years professional working experience in Indian cooking.
2. Qualification must be Certificate IV or above
3. Ability to focus in a pressured environment and manage the team effectively.
4. Full working rights within Australia are mandatory.
