Import and Wholesale Manager

We pride ourselves on our extensive range of products sourced from around the globe. We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Import and Wholesale Manager to join our dynamic team.
You will be responsible for managing the importation and wholesale distribution of our products. You will work closely with international suppliers, ensuring that our inventory is stocked with high-quality goods that meet our standards and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify business opportunities and establish relationships with local and international suppliers, negotiate contracts and credit terms.
- Develop, implement and monitor forecasts, business and operational plans.
- Source and select products that meet the demand, quality and cost standards of our company.
- Oversee the importation process including customs clearance and transportation.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure a steady supply of products.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and new opportunities for product lines.
- Ensure all imported goods comply with relevant regulations and standards.
- Ensure compliance with statutory procedures.
- Manage budgets and cost negotiations to optimize profitability.
- Maintain cordial relationships with suppliers and customers.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in importing and wholesale distribution, preferably in the grocery industry.
- A bachelor’s or higher degree in business, accounting, marketing, supply chain management, or a related field or at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Skills:
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management software.
- Knowledge of import regulations and compliance.

- A competitive Salary of A$88,000 to A$97,000 p.a. plus superannuation based on experience and qualifications.
