Reporting to the Civil Engineer and Construction Manager, you will require to take charge of following duties:
Responsible to determine construction methods, materials and quality standards for residential projects along with development and interpretation of specifications, drawings, plans, construction methods and procedures for the project in conjunction with Civil Engineer.
Liaising with the relevant councils and local agencies to ensure compliance with BCA codes and regulations such as AS1684, AS2870, AS3700, AS4600.
Review drawings and specifications - Analyzing survey reports, maps, and other topographic and geological data to effectively plan projects as per BCA codes and Australian Standards in conjunction with Civil Engineer.
Identifying engineering problems, collecting data, establishing facts and draw conclusions to resolve engineering issues in conjunction with Civil Engineer.
Review any modifications to drafting and interpreting specifications, construction methods and procedures to ensure it remains at pre agreed budget and viable for the business with project control line.
Liaising with and ensuring that drawings and documentation are transmitted to external suppliers/consultants (including follow up), to enable completion of each workflow stage by the due date.
Liaising with Structural Engineers and other key relevant stakeholders for Structural drawing development & Site related issues in conjunction with Civil Engineer.
Integrate structural steel along with timber framing in conjunction with Civil Engineer.
Planning & organizing site labor; delivery of construction materials; plant and equipment, and establishing detailed programs for the coordination of site activities.
Budgeting and planning of projects in conjunction with Civil Engineer - Operating residential projects to the assigned budget with effective management of overhead and resources.
Controlling site engineering activities and flow to maintain work standards, adhere to deadlines and meet the quality assurance targets.
Handle procurement of site labor and materials required - Estimating quantities and cost of materials, equipment and labor to determine project feasibility.
Liaise with stakeholders and the project team, to ensure effective communication and key deadlines, policies, procedures, and safety requirements are met.
