The Opportunity: Driver Trainer We have a brand new exciting opportunity for an experienced Driver trainer to join our Resources & Industrials team based in Dandenong or Laverton North. As the Driver Trainer, you will be responsible for providing effective and safe instruction to new and existing drivers. Your remit will cover the Victorian region, with the opportunity to travel interstate to provide coverage and support where required. We are looking for someone who has thorough knowledge of the rules of the road, vehicle operations, and safety protocols, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. If you'd like to play a meaningful role in our nation's supply chain - we'd love to hear from you As the Driver Trainer, you will:

Promote and encourage a culture of safety whilst displaying a commitment to chain of responsibility legislation
Conducting regular driver assessments to ensure competency (all aspects of driver activity, including human factor issues and driver/vehicle presentation)
Conducting regular paperwork training with drivers to ensure service standards are consistent
Work closely with all stakeholders to ensure customer requirements are met in a safe and timely manner
Ensure results are achieved by using both formal and informal processes to monitor training effectiveness
Be a leader and mentor for the drivers through formal and informal staff appraisals and coaching
Partner in the deployment of innovative approaches or technologies to drive business growth and continuous improvement

About you:

3-5 years experience in a similar role
MC licence
Knowledge of NHVL mass management, fatigue management, road transport rules & regulations & Chain of Responsibility
Ability to influence others and communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation
Certificate IV Training and Assessment
Computer skills: Microsoft office.
Reliable vehicle to travel to various Toll sites
