Position: Engineering Technologist
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct detailed analyses of existing technologies to identify areas for enhancement, ensuring compatibility with legacy systems and specialization in gas welding and cutting equipment.
• Develop innovative recommendations to enhance technological efficiencies, particularly focusing on the unique needs of the Gas Welding and Cutting industry.
• Implement rigorous testing procedures to evaluate technologies, documenting results and integrating findings into product development cycles.
• Produce and modify detailed drawings and schematics of new technologies, adapting designs to meet the specific requirements of production and repair in the industry.
• Facilitate the integration of cutting-edge technology into existing systems, ensuring operational compatibility and efficiency.
• Oversee the upgrade of CNC milling and turning equipment to enhance production capabilities and product quality.
• Manage engineering projects from conception through to implementation, focusing on meeting deadlines and budget requirements.
• Lead research initiatives to discover new materials and techniques that can improve the durability and performance of gas welding and cutting equipment.
• Analyze and refine manufacturing processes to increase productivity and reduce costs, while maintaining high quality standards.
• Work closely with suppliers to ensure that the components and materials used in production meet industry standards and company requirements.
• Provide technical support to the production and maintenance teams, solving complex issues related to the engineering technologies in use.
• Implement quality control measures that align with industry standards, continuously monitoring outcomes to ensure excellence.
• Spearhead efforts to make manufacturing processes more environmentally friendly, reducing waste and increasing energy efficiency.
• Utilises CAD software to create detailed 3D models, drawings, and simulations, ensuring accurate representation and adherence to industry standards.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Liaise with the production team to ensure seamless integration of new technologies into existing workflows.
• Continuously monitor industry trends to ensure our technology remains at the forefront of the industry.
