Asphaltech is a leading civil construction company specialising in the production and placement of asphalt throughout Australia. With over 25 years of industry experience, we are known for producing high quality asphalt and some of the most innovative products in the Australian market.
Asphaltech has recently expanded and opened a new asphalt plant in Picton, WA. We are looking for suitable candidates who live in the area to join the team in the position of HC Truck Driver. This is a full-time permanent position. If successful you will be required to deliver asphalt throughout the Bunbury and southwest area.
The ideal candidate will have experience of driving Heavy Combination vehicles and experience of operating and tipping asphalt will be highly regarded.
Main duties/Responsibilities
• Ensuring the Pre-Start checklists are carried out prior to the operation of the truck and trailer.
• Daily operation of truck and trailer to safely cart asphalt to various job sites.
• Maintaining the truck and trailer in a clean and tidy condition as per cleaning schedule.
• Ensuring truck and trailer are free of any undue maintenance or service.
Skills and Experience
Qualifications:
• Current valid HC Driver’s License and can Provide a Certified Record of Traffic Infringement
Notices
• Construction Industry White Card or equivalent
Experience:
• Proven experience as a qualified truck driver working in a similar working environment.
• Previous experience as asphalt tipping truck driver will be highly regarded.
Skills:
• Ability to drive a HC Vehicle
• Able to reverse with a trailer.
• Excellent Communication skills.
• Be able to provide instruction and receive instruction.
• Ability to operate forklift and / or loader will be highly regarded.
• Able to carry out all works in a safe manner (as per Company Procedures)
• Able to accommodate early start in the morning as well as weekend works, and nightshift works.
• Physically fit to carry out manual labour.

As part of the recruitment process, you will be required to have a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.
The pay is an hourly rate plus penalties. The range is $70,000 to $75,000 which includes overtime.
