Your Role
On behalf of our client, we are currently seeking experienced Mechanic Engineering Technician. This role, reporting to maintenance supervisor (mechanical engineer), is responsible for providing mechanical support to all plant, machinery and equipment in excellent working order.
Based in Dalby QLD, you will be a key person in support the general machinery operations and maintenance to be completed safely, accurately, in a timely manner and in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to
• Carry out all routine maintenance tasks as per company scheduling and direction from Mechanical engineer/technologist.
• Carry out fault finding, diagnostics, and daily maintenance tasks.
• Install new and modified mechanical assemblies and components.
• Using tools and equipment
• Maintain records as required by administration and as detailed by company policies and procedures.
• Ensure all operations are performed safely and in accordance with company workplace health and safety requirements.
• Assisting with ongoing development and implementation of Safe Work Methods (SWM)
• Notify management of any breach of health and safety policies and/or procedures
• Maintain records as required by the administration and as detailed by company policies and procedures.
• Ensure all operations are performed safely and in accordance with company workplace health and safety requirements.
About You
To be successful in this role, it is important that you can address the followings
• Applicants with Mechanical Engineering background ideally minimum 2 years of relevant work experience,
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics
• Knowledge of engineering principles that demonstrate experience in effective diagnostic and solutions-focused outcomes.
• Experience in maintenance and repair/overhaul of heavy equipment
• Experience in computerised maintenance management systems
• Strong understanding of Workplace, Health and Safety in a Manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated record keeping and data processing skills
• Thorough attention to detail.
• The ability to use their initiative
• Ability to successfully complete pre-employment medical as required.
For the right candidate, the annual salary package of $73,150 - $85,000 + Super is on offer.
