ConsultANZ is currently looking a Mechanical Fitter with at least 5-7 years experience to join one of our clients in Victoria.
$35 - $43 per hour + overtime + penalties + super

Full Time Position
The Mechanical Fitter will be expected to use his/her analytical and problem-solving skills to determine the root cause of malfunctions, devise a plan of action, troubleshoot to ensure repairs and or replacement of components are undertaken in a timely manner. Activities to be undertaken in line with the company policies and procedures ensuring safety is at the forefront.
Your main duties will include
Assemble and install mechanical components and systems according to specifications, technical drawings, specifications, and drawings.
Collaborate with Quarry Manager, Fabricator, Leading Hand/Mechanic, SQE Manager, Laboratory Technician, and other Engineering Technicians to troubleshoot problems, develop solutions and designs and improve the performance of mechanical systems and plant equipment.
Maximise plant and equipment availability and utilisation and minimise downtime by conducting routine maintenance tasks.
Ensure that mechanical repairs, maintenance, installation and modification or alteration to plant and equipment are carried out competently and satisfies internal clients.
Perform tests and inspections on mechanical plant and equipment to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
Demonstrate ability in mechanical fitting and turning and specialised repairs and maintenance operations.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
Comply with relevant legislation and company policies and procedures on WHS and environmental safety in the workplace.
Requirements
Relevant trade or vocational qualification
Minimum 5 years of experience in the similar role
White Card
Lock out Tag out (LOTO)
High attention to detail and display a positive & self-motivated attitude.
Good communication skills both written and verbal
Strong diagnostics and problem solving skills
Ability to work with minimal supervision and be able to work in a team environment
