Our client, Merge Mechanical, is looking for four (4) to five (5) qualified Heavy Duty Mechanics to join their team on a full-time and permanent basis. They offer highly skilled trade solutions to the Mining, Civil and Oil and Gas sectors.

Responsibilities:
• Analysing drawings and specifications to identify appropriate materials, methods, sequences, and machine settings.
• Assembling metal components and integrating fabricated parts to construct machinery and equipment.
• Verifying the precision, clearance, and fit of fabricated and assembled metal parts using precision measuring tools.
• Adjusting guides, stops, and controls on machining tools, setting up cutting and shaping tools in machines and presses, and configuring controls for textile machinery.
• Shaping metal stock and castings to exact specifications with machining tools for pressing, cutting, grinding, planning, boring, and drilling.
• Installing hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines by cutting, threading, and bending.
• Designing pattern mechanisms to regulate textile machinery for spinning, weaving, knitting, sewing, and tufting fabric.
• Troubleshooting and maintaining machines, performing repairs and overhauls on mechanical parts and fluid power systems.
• Assembling and installing machinery and equipment at job sites.
• Conducting routine inspections to ensure machinery operates within safety and efficiency standards.
• Collaborating with engineers and other technicians to optimise machine performance and resolve technical issues.
Qualifications:
• Must possess a Certificate III or equivalent.
• At least five (5) years of relevant work experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s licence.
Salary:
• $104,000 per annum.
