I am currently recruiting for a growing council for a Parks Manager to manage and lead Council's Parks and Open Space operations and projects. This will include playground operations, reserves mowing and maintenance, nature strip mowing, tree maintenance, turf mowing and landscape teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Management and Leadership:
Supervise and lead a team of horticulturists, gardeners, and support staff.
Develop and implement training programs for staff on best practices in horticulture and park maintenance.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing support and mentorship to team members
Oversee the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems.
Develop and manage budgets for horticultural projects and maintenance activities.
This will be a temporary role to start leading to permanent opportunities for the right person.
Benefits:
Excellent hourly rates from $55-$65ph plus super
