Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced and qualified Painter to join the ER Seven Painting team in Brisbane. As a Painter, you will be responsible for both exterior and interior residential painting, as well as exterior and interior commercial painting. This role demands timely and efficient execution, along with meticulous attention to detail to ensure high-quality outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the structure's exterior/interior, cleaning surfaces to remove dirt, mold, and old paint, and applying paint with precision to achieve a stunning finish.
- Use sprayers, brushes, rollers, and other tools to apply paint with precision and consistency.
- Choose appropriate paints and finishes based on the building type and client specifications.
- Follow safety protocols to protect oneself and others from hazardous materials.
- Be responsible for the operation and housekeeping of the paint mixing facilities you use.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of paint colour matching.
- Repair paint imperfections and flaws as needed.
- Apply protective coatings and sealants to enhance durability and appearance.
- Be willing to assist as needed in other areas of the finishing team.
- Meet attendance requirements (i.e. be reliable, get to work on time and well rested).
- Work with limited reliance on supervisors.
- Be effective and proactive in meeting deadlines.
- Take pride in producing accurate and high quality paint work.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
Requirements:
- Possess a certificate or higher in Painting and Decorating or a similar course (significant good experience in a similar role may substitute for formal qualifications).
- Have a minimum of 2 years experience in an exterior painting for residential or commercial properties role.
- Have a demonstrated attention to detail with a logical approach to problem solving.
- Have an appreciation for the need for accuracy, with very strong attention to detail.
- Have sound knowledge of property aesthetics.
- Have a good degree of physical fitness.
- Have proven colour matching skills.
- Have Panel and paint prepping abilities.
- Be organised and have a positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
