Madison Skye Pty Ltd is a fast-growing company based in Melbourne specialized in importing high quality workwear and menswear products and wholesale in Australia. We have established solid business relations with some of the leading retailers both in Australia and overseas. We are now seeking an experienced Corporate Accountant with international exposure to join our team of highly motivated and dedicated individuals.
Position: Full time Corporate Accountant
Salary: Gross A$ 75,000 ~ 78,000 per year + 11.5% superannuation
Duties & Responsibilities
• Review monthly sales performance, calculate overheads, landed cost of each incoming shipment, evaluate overall business operation costs. Perform cost control in different activities to increase company’s profits.
• Prepare budgets and forecasts based on operating profits and costs. Monitor budget variances and report findings to senior management on a regular basis.
• Prepare weekly internal management reports such as margin analysis and sales forecasts, provide financial advices to senior management.
• Perform full duties as a Corporate Accountant, including process weekly and end of month creditor payments, weekly / monthly staff payroll, quarterly superannuation payments, staff expense reimbursement, update local and overseas creditors’ ledger, follow up any overdue invoices, accounting adjustments, etc.
• Perform bank reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation, undertake monthly account payables and receivables reconciliations.
• Prepare and lodge monthly business activity statements BAS. Prepare and lodge STP, EOFY reports for STP, payroll tax and workcover. Assist external accountant in preparation of financial report and tax statements.
• Participate in company internal audit, analyse data, identify abnormal accounting / financial issues and provide suggestions to senior management.
Job Requirement
Education Background
• Formal tertiary education qualification closely related to Accounting or Finance from recognised education institution in Australia is compulsory. CA or CPA qualification from Australia is preferred.
Working experience
• Minimum three years relevant accounting working experience, previous experience in corporate and management accounting field preferred.
• Previous working experience in Australian based company will be given priority. Relevant clothing industry based working experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English. Native Mandarin speaker is preferred.
Others
• Excellent practical knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Advanced skills in MYOB Account Right software are highly regarded.
• Candidates must also demonstrate maturity, self-motivation, strong commitment to teamwork and their ability to use their own initiatives to work without supervision.
