AMYK PTY LTD AFT THE AK UNIT TRUST - ABN 92 184 384 124 trading as Grand Duk / The Naked Duck is looking for a full-time cafe & restaurant managers working from Monday to Friday. The annual wage will be $74,000 to 80,000 range plus superannuation.

Grand Duk is an Australian and French eatery with an Asian twist. The menu offers the best range of fresh and healthy salads, succulent cuts of meat and poultry slowly roasted to perfection. Grand Duk is our latest addition to our other restaurants - The Naked Duck.

Our fully licensed café/restaurant offers Monday to Friday dining for breakfast and lunch with daily and seasonal specials according to market produce. Wine and tap beer is served from lunch onwards.

As the café & restaurant manager, you will be responsible for running all aspects of operations - implementing systems, hiring and training your team to meet company and business standards and developments.

This is a hand-on position. To be successful in this role you will:
• Working with chefs and other personnel to plan menus
• Working with chefs for efficient provisioning and purchasing of supplies
• Be experienced in a Café & Restaurant environment
• Recording of daily takings and expenses
• Managing budgets and reporting to director on monthly basis
• Have a solid knowledge of current trends and styles
• Have a strong business acumen and proven ability to control costs
• Overseeing stock levels
• Preparing and presenting staffing and sales reports
• Assessing profitability
• Setting targets
• Have amazing food and beverages knowledge
• Ability to work in a fast paced F&B environment and deliver excellent service standards under pressure
• A proven ability to implement work place procedures
• Have a strong customer service ethos
• Lead, drive and motivate the team to deliver incredible customer experience
• Be an excellent multi tasker as this role is multi-faceted
• Motivation and initiation in building business success through your efforts and your team's
• Have strong capability in supervising staff
• Be able to assist the team during busy times
• Be able to create a welcoming and caring environment for customers
• Be able to resolve customer concerns and enquiries
• Strength in Food and Beverage service (desirable)
• Current RSA Certificate (desirable)
• Handling administration and paperwork
• Liaising with customers, employees, suppliers, licensing authorities, sales representatives
• Suggest improvements

Skill Requirement:
The successful candidate would also need to possess at least a diploma level qualification with 2 years full time industry experience. Alternatively at least 3 years of closely related work experience will substitute for formal qualifications.
