My Help Pty Ltd is a private organization specializing in in-home and community-based services to support individuals living independently in their homes. With over 10 years of industry experience, our dedicated team serves over 200 clients with a passionate and reliable team of more than 25 staff members. Our services cater to the aged, frail, and people with disabilities throughout metropolitan Melbourne.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Personal Care:
Assist clients with personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support clients with mobility, ensuring their safe movement around the home and outside.
Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed.
2. Companionship and Emotional Support:
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
Engage clients in social activities and arrange for outings to enhance their quality of life.
3. Housekeeping and Domestic Assistance:
Perform housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Assist with laundry, bed making, and other domestic chores as required.
4. Shopping and Errands:
Accompany clients during shopping trips or run errands on their behalf.
Ensure clients have the necessary groceries and household supplies.
5. Home Maintenance:
Assist with gardening, lawn maintenance, and minor home repairs.
Ensure the home environment is safe and well-maintained.
6. Respite Care:
Provide temporary relief for primary caregivers by offering respite care services.
Ensure clients receive consistent care and attention during the caregiver's absence.
7. Additional Duties:
May involve live-in care arrangements where the carer resides with the client to provide continuous support.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to monitor and support clients' health and well-being.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions to the appropriate parties.
REQUIREMENTS:
Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply.
Certificate II or III in Individual Support (Aging, Home, and Community)
Minimum 1 years of previous experience in a similar role within the aged care or disability support sector
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Compassionate, patient, and reliable
Current First Aid and CPR certification
