They are seeking a permanent and qualified Electrical Engineering Designer / Estimator to join team in Prestons, NSW.
The Role
The positions will be based permanently in Prestons, NSW. The Electrical Engineering Designer / Estimator role is a full time position and is duly remunerated at an annual salary between $75,000 to $85,000, depending on experience plus superannuation.
The Responsibilities
Designing electrical systems for shop fitouts and architectural joinery
Preparing cost estimates for electrical projects
Conducting site assessments to determine electrical needs
Creating detailed electrical schematics and blueprints
Collaborating with project managers and construction teams
Developing and maintaining project documentation and reports
Conducting risk assessments for electrical installations
Training and mentoring junior electrical staff
Participating in client meetings to discuss project requirements
Performing regular maintenance and upgrades on existing electrical systems
Ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety standards
Selecting appropriate materials and equipment for projects
Reviewing and approving electrical plans and specifications
Managing project timelines and budgets for electrical components
Coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors
Inspecting completed installations to ensure quality and functionality
Troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues on-site
Providing technical support and guidance to the team
Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and advancements
The Requirements:
Tertiary qualifications in the Electrical Engineering discipline
At least 4 years of relevant experience in a commercial field
At least 4 years proficiency in using electrical design software such as AutoCAD and Revit
At least 4 years knowledge of electrical codes and standards, including AS/NZS 3000
At least 4 years experience in estimating and cost analysis for electrical projects
Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and circuitry
Exceptional knowledge and proven experience within electrical engineering systems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skill
