Mechanical / Hydraulics Fitter

Queensland Hydraulics is looking for a driven, dynamic, experienced hydraulic/Mechanical Fitter in a workshop based role. You will be responsible for the assembly of hydraulic cylinders (new cylinders), repair work (disassembly, inspection, repair, assembly, test), and hydraulic power unit assembly (pipework and hydraulic component fitting of new systems). You will be supported by a team of engineers to assist with your knowledge and understanding of fluid power/hydraulics

This full-time role suits a person who is reliable, hard-working, has good attention to detail, a positive attitude, and the ability to work in a team as well as autonomously.

Qualifications

Fitter trade with minimum 5 years experience
Pipework bending as well as Hydraulics experience would be an advantage (however we are willing to train the right person)
Ability to understand production drawings and produce quality workmanship, on time and to stated tolerances
Tasks & responsibilities

Disassembly, repair, reassembly and testing of hydraulic cylinders
Workshop and site work as required
Oversee and be a role model to young group of apprentices in correct and proven Fitting methods
