Mechanical Engineer (Knitting Machine Technician) Vacancy
Compu Knit Hosiery Australia Pty Ltd is a family-run manufacturing company in Thomastown, Victoria. We are looking for Mechanical Engineer with Half Hose Knitting Machine experience to join our team.
You must have at least five years of experience working with Lonati Circular Hosiery Knitting machines.
You must be able to work to a satisfactory level with minimal supervision.
The position will require you to:
1. Be proficient with the following machine Models, L462C4, L462C6, G615, G615D, G616D, G616DF3, DX88.
2. Set up, adjust and maintain the knitting machines to factory standard.
3. Locate and replace worn or damaged parts.
4. Measure and make necessary adjustments to moving parts, if required replace parts.
5. Set guides, stops and other controls on the machines.
6. Ensure all safety mechanisms are within tolerance and adjust if necessary.
7. Be familiar with Graph 5, Graph 6, Photon GR6, Atlas and Galios Machine Software.
8. Prepare patterns with above software prior to the production of our product.
9. Write and modify machine programs with above software to ensure the efficient running of machines.
10. Monitor performance to ensure quality and maintain production output.
11. Diagnosing problems then recommending and undertaking suitable repairs.
12. Take on team leader responsibilities as required.
13. Be required to work reasonable overtime.
Your remuneration package would be around $80,000 with yearly reviews.
