About the role:
We are seeking an AWS Developer/Architect to support a major banking client in Australia. You will be working with a global technology team based primarily in the US and India as well as Professional Services and Project Teams in Australia. You will be responsible for a high availability consumer facing application. In addition to supporting this client during normal Australian business hours you will be part of an ongoing rostered Production Support rotation. You will also:
Design, implement and document EKS, MSK, CI/CD infrastructure
Advocate for and apply best design practices when it comes to availability, scalability, operational excellence and efficiency
Deploy and enhance components of our ecosystem such as Container Services, Load Balancers, Firewalls, monitoring and alerting tools.
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for AWS, EKS, Kubernetes deployment and operations
Maintain ongoing improvement of processes and best practices to meet security, cost and agility requirements
Contribute to and maintain design and process documentation • Continually seek opportunities to improve SLA/Uptime and minimise customer impacts
Understand, champion and enforce security and compliance policies and procedures
What you will need:
Proven experience in a similar publicly facing support role managing high availability applications/platforms
In depth experience in deploying AWS, EKS, MSK, Kubernetes
Experience in utilising scripting languages to automate build and deployment activities
Knowledge of Terraform Enterprise (TFE) and associated technologies
Ability to prioritise deliverables and manage workload to meet deadlines
Strong problem solving and analytical skills along with the ability to work independently and take initiative to resolve issues and provide outstanding service
Driven and dedicated approach to work with a desire to grow and develop and strive for excellence
