MECHANIC/HYDRAULIC TECHNICIAN
We are a Toowoomba based hydraulic company that specialises in the sales and remanufacture of hydraulic components. We have earned an enviable reputation for a high standard of service in the hydraulic industry and now seek and additional member to join our busy team.
Hydrostatic Services is a Danfoss factory Authorised Danfoss Service Centre. We have state of art equipment and facilities and a relaxed work environment enabling us produce some of the highest quality overhauled components in Australia. With more and more machinery now being driven by hydrostatic drives, this position is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic person to join our team and become involved in a very interesting industry.
Duties include overhauling various hydraulic components (on the job training is provided) and general workshop assistance as required. The position will suit someone who takes pride in doing a quality job, can work in a logical and methodical manner, is patient and enjoys intricate work.
Requirements for the role are :
* Mechanical trade, or strong mechanical aptitude.
* A desire to learn.
* Organisational ability to enable you to work on allocated jobs in a clean, methodical and structured manner.
* Ability to concentrate on intricate tasks.
* Interpersonal skills necessary to work in a team environment and motivation to follow through with set tasks
* Sound literacy and numeracy skills to enable job cards, time sheets and other documentation to be accurately recorded and maintained.
* Basic computer skills.
* Commitment and ability to adhere to strict Company safety policies.
* Willingness to assist in other general duties when necessary, such as cleaning parts, painting components, packaging items for transport, pick up and delivery of local items and maintaining a clean and safe working place.
* Manual drivers licence is essential.
* Forklift License highly regarded.
General working hours are 8.00 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Thursday and 8.00 – 3.00 pm on Fridays, however flexibility is required during peak periods.
We offer a small, friendly team environment in a modern, clean workshop with equipment that is state of art.
