Your Employer
Burlington Farming Pty Ltd is a family-owned seed production and mixed livestock farm based in Cressy Tasmania. The farm focuses on forage and turf seeds crops (irrigated and dry land), combined with traditional crops (oats, barley, peas, potatoes). A modern seed processing facility compliments the farms production and contract cleans for external suppliers

We are an established farming agribusiness farming 1800ha. They are currently in specialization phase and focused on sustainably growing the business in the Northern Midland area.

Your Role
We are seeking an experienced, farm equipment mechanic to join our team in Cressy. This is a diverse and interesting position, with plenty of variation in a modern and well-equipped workshop.
Responsible for ensuring that farm machinery is ‘ready to roll’ for seasonal plant requirements, the range includes, John Deere headers, MacDon windrowers, Gold Acre spray unit and Toyota utilities.
Working alongside a dedicated close team, you will also have the opportunity to operate farming plant over peak times during harvest and sowing.

We are offering great on-farm experience, flexibility and a full-time role that sees you playing an integral part in a challenging and progressive farming agribusiness. Accommodation may be offered if required.
Dedicated to a culture of safety at all times, your duties will include but not be limited to:
• Maintain and service farm equipment, irrigation systems, seed processing machinery and other farm plant as required
• Maintain the workshop in an efficient and orderly condition
• Maintain service records and order parts
• Be responsible for OH&S in the workshop site to provide a safe working environment
• Operate a full range of farm equipment from cultivation and sowing through to windrowing and harvest

Your Skills & Experience
You will have experience in working with a range of farm equipment and have relevant mechanical/diesel certifications.
