Our National Supply Chain Management department is seeking an experienced Freight Purchasing Officer to join the Logistics Supplier Management (LSM) team, based in Minchinbury NSW. This is a permanent full-time position.
Our LSM team play a key role in the sourcing and onboarding of freight suppliers for ALDI’s Supply Chain. They are responsible for managing and maintaining the relationships with our third-party providers and conducting analysis as required.
What does the role look like?
- Source and onboard supply chain partners across freight and warehousing markets
- Maintain, and manage relationships with various suppliers
- Execute tenders to identify the best partners for ALDI’s Supply Chain
- Develop and maintain a register of freight rates ensuring information is accurate
- Obtain and verify transport rates from logistics service providers to determine market rates for specific lanes
- Manage contracts and coordinate flow of information from internal and external stakeholders
- Analyse discrepancies and develop solutions to minimise operational and financial impact
- Deliver on project initiatives and deadlines as required
