Position: 2 x Permanent Full Time Senior Civil Engineer
Salary from: Stream A Level 6 $97k/year to Level 7 $106k/year + superannuation

We have an exciting opportunity for two permanent full time Senior Civil Engineers to join the Road Infrastructure Delivery Branch within the Council.
The Road Infrastructure Delivery Branch is responsible for managing and delivering new roads and drainage (capital) programs through the development, design, and construction phases of delivery. These services are provided through four programs, Roads Program Management Office, Delivery Management, Road Infrastructure Design and Surveying.
This position is a key technical role, providing expert advice and decision making on civil engineering matters within the Road Infrastructure Design Program. You will be working with multiple projects ensuring delivery from preliminary design through to construction status.
Position Responsibilities include:
Develop innovative, functional design solutions from engineering consultants and Council's internal design team
Working across multiple components such as road design, traffic engineering and flood modelling
Project manage engineering consultancies and relevant service providers to deliver engineering plans, costs and design
Contribute to the development and implementation of a positive work culture
Identify and liaise with key stakeholders to maintain effective and efficient project coordination and delivery of planning, design and drafting outcomes
Key indicators for success:
A completed a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering recognised by Engineers Australia
Experience mentoring and providing guidance to a high performing team
Detailed knowledge in Civil Engineering Design and Drafting activities and principals
Strong experience in the use of supporting software in the design of roads and drainage projects
5 years post graduate experience in civil engineering is desirable
