The HSEQ Lead is responsible for HSEQ related activities, systems, operational risk management and support, administrative and legal compliance associated with effective HSEQ Management.
Ensuring sound health, safety and environmental practices are identified, documented and fully aligned to the key business drivers whilst ensuring these are understood and complied with throughout the organisation, you will support and enable Rotork Australia to exceed its statutory and contractual obligations in managing all HSEQ aspects across a diverse risk landscape.
This role will be responsible for implementing and supporting the maintenance and continual improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS) ensuring that our IMS is fully compliant against applicable standards.

Health, Safety and Environment:
• Maintain a working knowledge of current WHSE to manage the various Rotork, legislative and regulatory requirements, across multiple jurisdictions.
• Lead all incident investigations and manage the corporate incident reporting process using CE HSE system, in a timely manner
• Develop and implement a renewed WHSE programme (Rotork Life Saving Rules and Safety Global Standards in AUS & NZ, including gap analysis and best practice processes) considering corporate objectives, local legislation requirements
• Audit and revise current WHSE practices to meet all local country requirements. Keep respective paperwork in place and up to date; manage actions identified during WHSE audits
• Implement Rotork Life Saving Rules across the organization. Deliver training to all field staff and complete regular assessments of developed skills. Audit skills regularly to keep team’s skills up to date
• Continuously identify Safety Spots/Near Misses at all local facilities following Rotork’s WHSE policies and implement corrective actions if needed
• Organise and provide WHSE training to employees for the purpose of state certification
• Support the Services team in the generation of risk assessment tools and the training on same before (and when needed during) each site service activity
• Proactively review various feedback mechanisms to identify Rotork staff WHSE trends or areas of concern requiring action, corporately and locally
• Proactively contribute to the daily management of the site providing WHSE/Quality data
• Act a secretary of the Safety Committee
• Monitor and manage the energy consumption for all locations in Australia and New Zealand to support Rotork’s Net Zero strategy
• Monthly energy usage is reported in corporate environmental APP.

Quality:
• Manage and maintain the Rotork Australia QMS procedures to ensure compliance with requirements of IS09001 and other documents with input from key stakeholders.
• Manage the maintenance of the AS/NZS 3800 hazardous overhaul certifications, the ANZ Ex workshop scheme including audit process, and internal QM audit schedules, and calibration schedules.
• Prepare and co-ordinate internal, second- and third-party audits, including implementation of recommendations
• Provide training to internal auditors, as appropriate.
• Maintain the internal NCR register and assist other key stakeholders with close out.
• Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) from customers and proactively communicate with Rotork Factories in the resolution of product NCR’s.
• Assist the RSS Manager and Customer Services Manager, as required, to resolve and close all external (product) NCR’s, including registration on factory portal.
• Ensure that End Market customer quality expectations are translated into requirements that are delivered by the new product introduction process.
• Produce documentation required to meet the needs of the customer, including essential shipment documentation to ensure smooth delivery of goods to customers.
• Production of Quality KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) for use by Management.


Lean Program:
• Manage the Lean program in accordance with corporate strategies, initiatives including proactive liaising with other key managers and stakeholders.
• Provide support for other managers and staff and deliver various training and development initiatives.
• Sponsor Rapid Improvement Events (RIE) projects on behalf of Rotork Australia.
