What does the role look like?
- Lead the preparation and review of ALDI’s GST compliance obligations
- Lead the transition to next generation BAS preparation software, including process improvement during implementation
- Monitor changes in tax legislation, assess impact on the business, and partner with key stakeholders where required
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to provide advice on business transactions and projects
- Maintain ALDI’s strong tax governance framework, including monitoring and testing processes and controls
- Be the Australian representative of the International Indirect Tax Expert Group, familiar with the Indirect Tax related IT landscape and processes
- Drive, manage and effectively implement tax related improvement initiatives, including process and control optimization and strategies, processes, and controls to enhance business efficiency
- Develop and train team members and assist in providing training to stakeholders
