HT Contracting is looking for a full time Diesel Motor Mechanic to join their team.
Duties to be performed:
• Pinpointing and resolving both mechanical and electrical malfunctions specific to diesel engines, with an emphasis on those commonly used in construction, mining, and agricultural machinery.
• Taking apart crucial mechanical subsystems like diesel engine blocks, power-transmission systems, and hydraulic steering mechanisms for inspection, with a focus on the unique requirements of heavy-duty machinery in the business
• Undertaking specialized repairs or replacements of damaged or worn parts, guided by the company's proprietary technical manuals and industry best practices.
• Implementing regular maintenance schedules tailored to heavy machinery, encompassing activities like hydraulic fluid changes, greasing pivot points, and fine-tuning engine parameters to boost operational efficiency and adhere to industry-specific environmental guidelines.
• Reassembling diesel engines and mechanical systems after all repair and maintenance tasks are completed, ensuring all parts meet the company's strict quality standards.
• Conducting a thorough evaluation after repairs, including functional tests and calibrations, to certify that the machinery meets the company's performance and safety criteria for field operations in construction, mining, and agriculture.
Requirements
• at least 2 years of experience
• Excellent diagnostics and troubleshooting skills
• Good working knowledge of hydraulics and electrical
Position: Full Time
Location: Goldfields, Leinster WA 6437 / Malaga WA 6090
Salary: $80,000 to $180,000 per year based on the experience
