PREFORMED LINE PRODUCTS (AUSTRALIA) PTY LIMITED Responsible for the production planning process including the maintenance and audit of Epicor (ERP System) and other system settings to achieve the most cost effective on-time delivery. Responsible for the planning and reporting of project work and ongoing production variance analysis to ensure that these are adequately reported on a timely basis.  Responsible to act as a back-up as required for SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) audit controls. To assist with the companies financial audit requirements as pertains to the manufacturing operations of the company, on both a quarterly and annual basis. BenefitsTask & Responsibilities Maintain Epicor and other system parameters in order to increase product cost control and also achieve the best possible on-time-delivery and resource utilisation. Identify, evaluate and manage cost variability of operational processes, activities, policies and systems and recommend changes to internal controls Monitor and report progress, cost and delivery of projects on a weekly basis. Work with production supervisors to ensure each is on schedule Analyse and report on manufacturing variances and determine systemic issues driving the variances. Recommend and implement process changes and improvements to reduce overall manufacturing variance Liaise with Sales, Engineering and Manufacturing departments to understand customer project and contract requirements, determine the optimal project plan to deliver projects on-time and at the best margin, given the production constraints and capacity.  Represent production at S&OP Meetings.  Develop and maintain monthly, weekly and daily scheduling processes and tools to be used by other planners for regular daily production planning. Investigate production/planning and manufacturing cost variance, contribute to the analysis of root causes and development of corrective actions Adhere to company standards and production policies to meet company objectives. To assist as a backup on our complex SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) controls so that the company is compliant and all quarterly and annual documentation is provided, on a timely basis to the external auditors. To assist the Finance team on a monthly and annual basis with requirements pertaining to our manufacturing operation.  To assist external audit requirements on a quarterly and annual basis, to resolve any queries by providing additional information or explanations. Work with the finance team to improve financial controls in operations as the business evolves.  Any other reasonable duties which may be required from management from time to time Qualification & Experience Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance or related field Excellent ERP knowledge and the ability to enhance ERP systems and processes (ideally Epicor) 3-4 years prior experience within a manufacturing environment, supply chain industry experience valued  Previous experience in controlling audited operational functions from a product cost perspective Ability to understand the end to end supply chain process and can connect with different levels from factory floor to strategic decisions Must be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of MRP / ERP Exceptional administration and computer skills with MS Excel experience. Ability to plan, manage and co-ordinate activities Have a proactive approach to coordinating schedules and handling problem orders through to completion Be able to demonstrate exceptional communication skills as you will be liaising with stake holders and staff in person and via phone and email Demonstrated Safety first attitude within the workplace Have a logical and systematic approach to work About Company Preformed Line Products (PLP) is a worldwide designer, manufacturer and supplier of high quality cable anchoring and control hardware and systems.
