Your new company Our Federal Government client is seeking an experienced and motivated Procurement Officer to join their team. As a key member, you will play a critical role in supporting various procurement activities and ensuring compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Framework. Your new role
Strategic Procurement Support: Collaborate with project managers to develop effective approaches to the market and review procurement documentation. Your contributions will be essential in maintaining program schedules.
Implementation of Recommendations: Execute the recommendations outlined in the Management Initiated Review, driving process improvements and efficiency.
Guidance and Compliance: Provide expert guidance and advice to staff across the Commission, enabling them to conduct compliant procurements aligned with the Commonwealth Procurement Framework.
Contract Management: Offer first-line support to staff using the contracts (purchasing) module of the finance system, including rectifying any incorrectly entered contracts.
Quality Assurance: Monitor procurement and contractual arrangements, ensuring adherence to the Commonwealth Procurement Framework and Commission requirements.
AusTender Reporting: Draft contract notices for AusTender and update the finance system with CN numbers, ensuring timely compliance.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Extract data from various sources and prepare reports on procurement activity for internal and external use, including Budget and Senate Estimates
What you'll need to succeed
Relevant experience in procurement, contract management, or related fields
Strong understanding of the Commonwealth Procurement Framework
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
