Due to growing demand from our local clients, we are expanding our Sydney team. We are looking to attract an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to work as an Associate Director.
The Role:
You will offer commercial and contractual expertise to a variety of organisations. Projects range from transport infrastructure, asset maintenance, and utilities through to commercial building. As a senior member of our team, you will take ownership of client relationships and manage their day-to-day needs. We typically work on the identification and management of contractual entitlements and providing expert commercial insight into cost and programme challenges.
The role would suit an individual who has spent time working for contractors delivering projects and is looking how to use their experience as they enter stage of their career. We find that people who have hands-on experience of delivering projects throughout their career are exactly what our clients need. You will enjoy the variety and challenge of working with a variety of clients and projects and being able to share your experience and add value where it counts. We will develop your expertise in handling claims and give you the right exposure to move deeper into the field of dispute resolution.
Our Requirements:
• A qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Accounting, Law, or a related discipline
• A minimum of 7 years industry experience working for a construction or engineering contractor and/or specialist consultancy in this area
• Project experience is essential
• Insurance claims experience desirable but not essential
• Excellent letter and report writing skills.
• The ability to communicate clearly and concisely to a non-technical audience
• The ability to process, model and present large data sets
• A capacity for analytical thinking and problem solving
• An ability work with a variety of people to achieve the correct outcomes for the client or project.
