Salary: $70,000 - $93,000 per year
A Farmers Centre Mechanical Engineering Technician is part of a front-line team that is responsible for servicing and maintaining client and company machinery and vehicles. This position is an essential after sales service that is pivotal in promoting the brand image of Farmers Centre as the agricultural dealer of choice. The position will be responsible for setting up new machinery for delivery, providing a high standard of machinery maintenance and repairs, testing machine systems and troubleshooting problems that occur. Services will be provided expediently and will have a strong customer focus to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction for both internal and external customers.
Main Responsibilities:
• Assembling and installing mechanical systems.
• Troubleshooting, servicing and maintenance of machinery.
• Maintaining records and monitoring availability of parts.
• Training co-workers.

Main Duties:
• Installing and performing diagnostic tests on mechanical systems
• Developing and implementing mechanical maintenance plans to
prevent costly equipment breakdowns.
• Troubleshooting mechanical malfunctions and breakdowns,
as well as performing repairs.
• Documenting processes and maintaining mechanical service records.
• Monitoring the availability of parts and replenishing supplies.
• Optimizing mechanical efficiency by adjusting machinery and
equipment settings.
• Organising and supervising inspection and maintenance of
machines and plant.
• Training co-workers on the safe and efficient use of mechanical
machinery and equipment.
• Selecting tools and equipment.
• Estimating material costs and quantities, and machine requirements.
Collecting and analysing data.

Qualifications:
Suitable certification or relevant experience.
Experience:
A minimum of two years' experience in a similar environment.
Skills:
• A minimum of 3 years farming machinery/vehicle repair experience
or equivalent
• Proven mechanical diagnostic skills.
• Excellent customer service skills and a positive, can-do attitude
• A commitment to continuous improvement to develop skills and
improve workshop practices.
• Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Good written and verbal skills
• Computer proficiency
• Willing to work flexible shifts and overtime as required.
• Proven commitment and knowledge of OHS work practices.
• A current Australian driver’s license

Salary: $70,000 - $93,000 per year
