Production Manager required in Forrestdale for a permanent full-time role, paying up to $110,000 per year. Work without direct supervision. 2. Responsible for quality and standard of work performed, including productivity and safety. 3. Conduct spot checks and quality assurance on others' work. 4. Responsible for providing employees with on-the-job training and guidance. 5. Responsible for ensuring HR and employment practices are applied, including team adherence to Policy and Procedures. 6. Conduct investigations into WHS incidents and hazards within assigned areas. 7. Responsible for tools, equipment, vehicles and plants in the employee's use and used by others under their supervision. 8. Responsible for the quality control/assurance procedures, including recognising and correcting deviations and/or faults. What you'll need to succeed SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 1. Operator skill level medium-high with significant experience. 2. Multi-functional plant and equipment skills. 3. Operate machine maintenance and set up medium to high-complexity tasks. 4. Demonstrated capability for interpretation of precision measuring instrument tools. 5. Plan reading single-dimensional measurement tools. 6. Developed supervisory skills. 7. Developed understanding of quality control techniques. 8. Sound knowledge of safety policy requirements related to the tasks being undertaken by themselves and others. 9. Ensure that safe work practices are adhered to. 10. Oral and written literacy and numeracy skills to provide information and advice to other employees, higher-level staff, clients, suppliers and members of the public.
QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Current valid drivers and HRW class licences (Forklift Ticket). 2. Good communication skills. 3. Sound knowledge and understanding in reaching originality in approach with solutions, usually by applying previously encountered solutions or experience. 4. Leading Hand experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent in operations management experience. 5. A completed apprenticeship in Fitting & Turning, Boilermaker, or Vocational Engineering (Certificate Level) is highly desirable. 6. Understanding of ISO9001 Quality Management Systems and/or LEAN is highly desirable.
