Our client, an ASX listed mining company produces copper, base and precious metals is currently seeking a Senior Backfill Engineer to join their high grade copper, zinc and precious metals underground operation.
Requirements:
Tertiary qualification in mining engineering, geotechnical engineering or a related discipline;
Current C Class Manual License;
Well-versed in backfill instrumentation and monitoring;
Exposure to mine design and scheduling tools such as Deswik, Surpac, MineCad etc.
Position Duties:
Developing and implementing plans for backfill operations, ensuring alignment with mine plans and budgets;
Monitoring and overseeing backfill placement, barricade installations, and performance of paste and CHF reticulation systems;
Leading QA/QC to maintain high standards in backfill quality, including routine analysis of materials and compliance with management plans;
