Working for a global rail organisation we have an exceptional opportunity to work on Sydney Metro, Australia's largest public transport project. The project is currently in delivery phase and they are looking to source 2 North Sydney based Safety Advisors to ensure that the construction team are working in a safe environment.
Suitable candidates for this role will need to possess the following skills and experience.
Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
They will be required to be resilient with the ability to work alone and they will be required to be adaptable and flexible.
Applicants are required to have a safety background in either rail, construction, mining or oil and gas at Advisor level.
Key accountabilities include:
Improve competence and performance by providing professional advice on the knowledge and implementation of work site protection, network rules and procedures.
Ensure internal processes and procedures are established and verified to ensure alignment across all work fronts for a continuous safe environment.
Coordinating and implementing WHS strategies that deliver the highest quality outcomes and suitably trained staff.
Conduct and coordinate regular safety inspections within the workplace.
Ensure safe work methods statements are completed within designated time frames.
Facilitation of incident reporting, investigations as well as the managing the workplace incident investigation process.
Conducting regular safety briefings and inductions.
Implementation and action the project surveillance planning and activities.
Ensure all project audits (internal and external) are arranged and complied with.
Developing and implementing safety strategies that improve operational performance.
Provide advice to all site personnel and employees ensuring each safety process is executed effectively and diligently.
Engaging and relationship building with all levels of stakeholders
Requirements:
Minimum Advanced Diploma in WHS or equivalent
Cert IV in WHS
