Task & Responsibilities Pre-flight supplied files for useability Study design briefs and determine requirements Prepare draft designs, formalise concept and present ideas to customers Negotiate design solution to ensure best outcome for all parties Amend design after feedback from customer Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand (colours and graphics) Design functional artwork specifically for flexographic labels that adheres to inhouse machine characteristics Trap files to meet the required specifications Sound understanding of screen angles and line rulings Retouch images for flexographic reproduction with a sound understanding of minimum dot, dot gain and colour separations Colour management – Calibrate printers and monitors, setup fingerprint for flexographic printing process, analyse the print process then measure and record the data using spectrophotometer Experience in the Esko applications - Artpro, Pilot, Deskpack, Curve Pilot, Webcentre and Plato Esko Automation Engine – specialising in building workflows specifically for self-adhesive labels Troubleshoot with effective time management Use effective communication skills Adhere to QA procedures and protocols Maintain a clean and organised work area Maintain prepress equipment to agreed standard Safety: Conduct all manual handling activities in accordance to the Safe Manual Handling Guidelines. Other duties as required (i.e., Flexographic plate and screen making) Qualification & Experience Human Resources: Ability to promote and live by the Core Values and engage the workforce. Education: Certificate 3 or 4 or degree in Design or Graphic Reproducing or overseas equivalent. In demonstrated cases experience may be substituted.
