About the role
We are currently looking for motivated Mechanical Fitters. Reporting to the Maintenance Lead, you will be responsible in supporting the mechanical maintenance activities in the relevant department to provide the availability, reliability and performance of equipment, necessary to meet the department plan and targeted objectives.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
Ensuring a safe workplace, identifying, and addressing risks appropriately and demonstrating positive safety behaviour
Executing maintenance activities according to the weekly work schedule and unscheduled work as required
Executing preventative mechanical maintenance inspections on equipment including but not limited to conveyors, continuous miners, shuttle cars, feeders, longwalls, mobile diesel equipment and winders
Executing basic hydraulic and pneumatic system fault finding and equipment rebuild/refurbishments
Assisting in the developing and enhancing work procedures and maintenance instructions
