The company is situated in Cremorne, Victoria 3121, and is currently seeking an ICT Security Specialist.
Our full-time ICT Security Specialist will be responsible for performing various tasks, such as conducting risk and security control assessments, interpreting security policy to contribute to the development of standards and guidelines, reviewing information system designs, providing guidance on security strategies to manage identified risks, providing specialist advice, and explaining systems security and its strengths and weaknesses.
The annual salary is $100,000 plus superannuation.
The Responsibilities:
? Completing web, infrastructure, and wireless penetration testing engagements.
? Conducting thorough various types of security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and potential threats.
? Designing and implementing safety controls and data recovery plans.
? Working with a diverse range of customers to identify and solve security problems.
? Installing, configuring, and upgrading security software (e.g., antivirus programs).
? Advising clients on best practices for cybersecurity and information security.
? Monitoring ongoing customer-managed service environment.
? Securing networks through firewalls, password protection, and other systems.
? Reviewing Windows and Network configuration for any security misconfiguration and weaknesses.
? Inspecting software and infrastructure for vulnerable points of access.
? Ensuring that the customer's key infrastructure is secured.
? Undertaking vulnerability assessments.
? Monitoring network activity to identify issues early and communicate them to IT teams.
? Acting on privacy breaches and malware threats.
? Preparing detailed reports and presentations for clients, outlining findings, recommendations, and action plans.
? Serving as a security expert and conducting training when needed.
? Drafting Information Security policies and guidelines.
? Dark web and threat monitoring.
? Performing incident responses as required.
? Working to build security during the development stages of software systems, networks, and data centres.
? Finding the best way to secure the IT infrastructure of an organisation.
? Building, configuring, reviewing and security firewalls to ensure the safety of the network and infrastructure.
? Undertaking infrastructure and web application penetration testing.
? Constantly monitoring for attacks and intrusions.
? Closing of the security vulnerability when a potential threat or security specialist finds a potential threat or attempted breach, closing off security vulnerability.
? Identifying security attackers and malicious users and liaising with the police if necessary.
The Requirements:
? Relevant bachelor's degree.
? At least three (3) years of relevant experience in a similar setting.
? The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
? Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
? Must have good communication skills.
